The first of many spring babies we are expecting this year, was born on Valentines Day! What a treat!
Meet Amore!!
Spring is really starting for us in Missouri, it’s starting to warm up and it feels so good! We have had a lot of sun and warm weather, And some spring showers.
The first of many baby goats was born. Twins, a buck and a doe. They were born on Valentine’s Day at 11:30am. The buck is black and tan with a white spot on his side and the doe is black and tan with a beautiful, white stripe across her belly.( That we are calling her tutu, hehe)
Born on Valentines Day
We don’t get many that are born on valentine day, so we had to name them something special. The buck we named Cowboy from the late Toby Keith’s song “ I should’ve been a cowboy”. And the girl we named Amore. It is Italian for love. So we have Cowboy and Amore!
They are a few days old now and growing and thriving. We don’t always keep all the bucks that we get ( and we get a lot). But Cowboy and Amore are born from show quality, parents, and are not related to anything in our herd, and will add to the diversion of our herd.
We are bottle feeding Amore, and Cowboy is left with their mom, Sierra. Sierra is a great mom and cowboy is doing great! My children love playing with Amore. I love that they are learning how to love and take care of them.
My children love to play and feed her!
We are so excited they are here, they will be a great addition to the herd and we can’t wait to meet the rest of the babies! We have 13 more doe’s due and 3 cows, This spring will be so much fun!
(sorry the pictures are a bit blurry, it hard to get her to hold still long enough for a pictures)
