One egg has only about 77 calories, but 6 grams of high-quality protein, 5 grams of fat, and 1.6 grams of saturated fat, along with iron, vitamins, minerals, and carotenoids.
The egg is also a powerhouse of disease-fighting nutrients such as lutein and zeaxanthin.
Hard boiled eggs are a staple food in my house, you can do so much with them! We always have some in the fridge.
There is so many things you can do with hard boiled eggs
- Great snack (plain or with a bit of salt or paprika)
- Deviled eggs
- Great on salads
- Perfect in potato or macaroni salad
- Delicious in a chicken or tuna salad sandwich and more….
Cooking them just got a whole lot easier thanks to my instant pot. It only takes 5 mins to cook and they are perfect every time. They are so easy to peel that my two year old can peel them all by herself!
I can make nine eggs at a time in an eight quart Instant pot. But if you have a smaller pot then just add enough to make one layer on the bottom.
